ThinkGive’s Junior Advisory Board

ThinkGive is a nonprofit organization that works with educators to build inclusive spaces and promote social and emotional skill sets in their students. Our mission is to inspire young people to use kindness to engage with their world. Learn more about our program impact here.

Our ThinkGive Junior Advisory Board (JAB) is a team of high school and college students from diverse backgrounds and fields of study who come together virtually to grow their leadership skills, bring youth perspectives to ThinkGive’s work, and take action to effect change in their communities. Ready to apply to be a JAB member?

JAB Member Commitment:

  • 2 year term (with potential for additional involvement)
  • Attend four full JAB meetings annually, and subcommittee meetings as needed (1-3 before each full meeting)
    • Tuesday, October 18, 2022 – 7:00-8:30pm EST 
    • Tuesday, November 29, 2022 – 7:00-8:30pm EST
    • Tuesday, February 7, 2023 – 7:00-8:30pm EST
    • Tuesday, April 11, 2023 – 7:00-8:30pm EST

JAB Member Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute projects that are grounded in member interests as well as the organization’s needs
  • Contribute valuable youth perspectives to ThinkGive’s work – which in turn impacts thousands of youth annually
  • Serve as ambassadors for ThinkGive 

ThinkGive seeks applicants who are:

  • High school students (sophomores, juniors, and seniors) or college students
  • Excited about designing and executing subcommittee projects that promote ThinkGive’s mission and values of inclusivity, kindness, and social justice
  • Skilled in working both collaboratively and independently to drive project tasks
  • Seeking to grow their community leadership skills
  • Curious to learn more about how a nonprofit operates
  • Committed to attending all meetings (full Advisory Board and subcommittee)
  • Past leadership experience is preferred, but not a requirement
