The ThinkGive® Planting Seeds program integrates foundational skills instruction and reading comprehension with explicit social skills instruction and activities that foster students’ growth as responsible, caring, and collaborative people. Students explore the idea of planting “seeds of kindness” by planting and caring for actual seeds, then taking actions to explore how they can extend that same attention and care to themselves and others. Along the way they consider how all of their actions—directed at their plant, themselves, and/or at others—are meaningful in creating something beautiful.
