Step Into Your Courage Zone Activity

Looking for easy-to-implement social and emotional learning activities for your classroom? These mini-lessons may be mini in size, but deliver a big impact.

Activity: Students will learn that having courage means different things to different people after reading a book about courage and discussing what courage means to them. They’ll examine experiences and decide where those moments fall in their courage zone. At the end of the lesson, students will have options to step into their courage zone.

Time: 15 minutes

Essential Questions: What do you need to leave your comfort zone? Why do different people have different comfort and courage zones?

Student Action: Try something new that you’ve never done before or attempt something that has been hard for you in the past.
